Once Upon A Time……….

Once upon a time in the lush green Kinta Valley and amidst blue mining ponds, a tragic incident happened to a mother and her seven children. The wooden cottage where she lived with her family caught fire and the cruel raging fire killed her seven children but she escaped hugging just a pillow to her bosom. The cottage was burnt to ashes and her husband was out in town and did not realized what happened back home.

Two years after that tragedy, they had a new baby who came at the right time to console their aching hearts and they loved this boy very much and named him Blessings & Prosperity. Life went back to normal after this new addition and they relocated to the nearest mining town. Perhaps to escape from another fire which was so common in wooden cottages and to avoid their new born baby from being taken away by another fire. Soon Blessings Prosperity grew up to be a cute little boy.

In a twinkle of the eye, Blessings Prosperity went to college in the Capital City of Kuala Lumpur doing his Electrical Power Course. Upon graduation he was trained to be a technician in Telecommunications.

I guess by now you all know who I am writing about! Is me, bokjae! Just sharing a bit more of myself to you folks as well as see how I slowly aged!!!!! This post was really inspired by another fellow blogger at VersaCreations who asked me one day why I never blogged about my daughters!/p

After working for a couple of years I met Rock and we started dating and after 4 years, got married. Here are some photos of us in our hay days so to say.

Not long after our marriage, I left her back in KL while I went overseas pursued my Undergrad Course in Electrical Engineering in Glasgow. By then she was already pregnant with our eldest, and because of that she could not join me in UK, moreover she had to continue teaching to support herself and the baby who was due soon. My fashion then was bell-bottom pants and long hair! Arrgh!

During my first summer holidays home, I was feeling so strange for then I was a Daddy! It took Sharlene a few days to get used to this stranger who suddenly appeared in her life. I guess no amount of telling her by Rock that her daddy is coming back soon to cuddle her could allay her fears of this total stranger!

After my graduation, I rushed home to my wife and daughter immediately and took over the role of provider to my family and soon there were two more additions to our family, Justin or Jay two years after Sharlene and Dawn our youngest daughter with a gap of 10 years!

Our children return around November every year and leave just before the Chinese New Year! They had just returned lately to their respective places and perhaps missing them spurs this post. In life its about learning and listening to our own parent's past experiences, the history of the family and then our own turn to lead our next generation but we must learn to listen to them and learning from them the current trends and post modern culture of their generation! Joy is about listening, learning and living life to the fullest with gratitude with thanksgiving to Almighty God!

Zip Bags

Many people travel with luggages that are of the Zip type. Personally I used these type of luggages. Just received this video from a friend and to my horror, the security of Zip Bags are scary! Its not so much of having your personal things stolen but more of some drug trafficker slipping into your bag a packet of drugs! You become the carrier who brings the drug out of Customs and if you managed to get past the Officers you still run into the risk of getting robbed off your bag by these drug traffickers, moreover your life may be in danger too! If you are caught with the drugs it would be a tough thing to prove your innocence! Hey! watch this video and be smart!

TM Broadband Sucks!

Since my last posting a week ago, my internet connection was terribly slow. It takes forever to load a single web page let alone do any postings or browsing. Heard too many complaints about Telekom Malaysia's Broadband Service and sad to say I agree with most people and declare "TM Broadband Service Sucks!" There is another alternative to TM but heard that its service also sucks! Guess Malaysians got to tolerate this until a third alternative comes along if it ever happens.

Apart from the horribly poor service, TM's CRM and attitude also Sucks! Whenever they perform maintenance on their system; naturally the broadband service is interrupted but they do not have the courtesy to inform their subscribers! The subscribers are supposedly to understand and tolerate the service interruption without so much of an apology. Why they cannot inform in advance is hard to understand but the other Service Providers of Electricity, Water etc can even send letters to inform and apologize. As the owner of the Nation's Telecommunications Networks they are unable to do that seems ludicrous. The specialists in connecting people are not communicating well? What a joke!

Anyway, with such poor service, it definitely affects those Internet Marketers who work from home and dependent on the broadband connections to operate. Hey! it affects their daily earnings as well. For bloggers its like a 'forced holiday' which I experienced for about a week! For me its not so much the earnings but unable to respond to emails and comments, blog hopping thats what is so frustrating. Checked with others locally and it seems this recent problem is a nationwide encounter! My apologies to my readers, visitors and fellow bloggers if it seems that I was not responsive or rude but its more of being disconnected from the internet due to TM's dismal service! I did contact them but their reply was just a "nothing wrong!" To me it is a one sided contract when we sign-up with TM and wonder if we can claim for breech of contract since they are not delivering the service as promised! One week out in a month is a 25% failure rate!

Your Blog’s Readability

While doing some blog hopping, I came across a Fun Tool where it rates the reading level required of a blog! Apparantly for my blog it is Undergraduate Level!

blog readability test TV Reviews

Initially I was sort of glad about this rating for it gave me a sense that the content is not like the blabbering of a mad man! Some of my friend's blogs indicated Genius Level! Wow! On second thought, having a Genius Level may not be such a great thing for it means only intellectuals can understand your content! Maybe it gives the blog owner a sense of pride in an academic sense but it also means many other readers will find it boring if it is difficult to follow your thoughts, arguments etc.

Why Me?

Used to love Tennis and back then I watched each and every Grand Slam Finals broadcasted by our local TV Networks. Now we have Satellitie TV and the Sports Channels gave live telecast on nearly every match played in the Grand Slams. Back then names of Tennis Greats were Jimmy Connors, John Mcenroe, Bjorn Borg, Steffi Graaf, Martina Navratolova etc.

However one very special Tennis Player that I will always remember was Arthur Ashe who died of Aids after getting contaminated blood from a heart surgery. He was the Winner of the US Open 1968; Australian Open 1970 and Wimbledon 1975. What was so remarkable about him was the way he answered a question from one of his fans world wide, "Why God allowed you to get infected with Aids this way?"

To this Arthur replied: " The world over - 50 million children start playing tennis; 5 million learn to play tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5,000 reached Grand Slam, 50 reached Wimbledon, 4 to semi-final, 2 to the finals, When I was holding the Cup, I never asked God "Why me?".I guess, this shows the calibre of the man!
