Credit Card One-Stop Centre

April 26, 2008 | 8 Comments

Never realized the hassle involved in a simple matter like applying for a credit card until I needed to apply one for my daughter who is a student. She needed to have a credit card fast for her internship in a foreign country and leaving in a week’s time. I tried calling several Banks and literally spend hours scouting for the most suitable credit card for her.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some sort of an online one-stop credit card application centre where you can have all the timely, appropriate information for you to decide quickly and apply fast? ApplyFast.com is such a site and you can explore and weigh your options as well as apply immediately saving you all the numerous lengthy and costly phone calls to various Banks.

The first thing that impresses me is the clean uncluttered look of the website. Pleasant Graphics, well structured lay-out, informative, easy maneuvering plus Web 2.0 interactivity with an online, 24/7 Q&A. There are no distracting flash images and very focused on their delivery.

To make searching easier, the various categories of credit cards for different situations you are at currently, be it Good History or Limited History as well as Special Needs. Nowadays most people take advantage of a best balance transfer credit card to save on interest payments and reducing their debts. In addition to that there are many Options for the applicant to choose from. You can have Cash Back or air Miles or Gas Rebates. What I am looking for is a best rate credit card. Helpful information like APR rates, Balance Transfer rates are all lay out so that you know before you apply for the card all the financial implications and costs involved.

Once you have made a decision on what type of credit card you think is best for your present needs, a simple click on the Application Button will take you to the issuing Bank giving additional information such as credit limits, membership fees etc.

There is a section on credit card tips, latest news on credit cards up-to-date packages. Which helps to bring you up to date on the latest? At a glance on the website you would also noticed that there is a Best Credit Card offers from their database. All in all it took me just about 30 minutes from reading and understanding my options, searching out the various issuing Banks to an online application! Need something more? You can use the Search Box with Advance Search to help you. Check it out and you will understand what I mean by a one-stop fast application site for credit cards applications!

Gratitude

April 25, 2008 | 3 Comments

This tag from Rainbows is past overdue! My apologies but glad that I can do this today! I guess people generally fall into these two categories and i.e. “Grateful Type” or “Complaining Type”. Read a book sometime back called the “Power of Gratitude” and Wow! really eye-opening! Personally I was not the grateful type but through the years and thank God, He slowly changed me into one! As Steve Jobs said, one can only connect the dots in life through hindsight; I can say that we have much to be thankful and grateful for! Yeah occassionally we slipped back into Mr. Complain but we have to check ourselves each and every time this happens. So feel free to join this train and share gratitude around! It makes the World a better place for sure!

In order to be able to achieve and maintain happiness we need to, actively, be able to do two things: Complain and then let go (Dump the baggage, the roadblocks to happiness.) Express Gratitude (The open expression of gratitude promotes happiness.) After all everyone has something to be grateful for and/or something to complain about. If you would like to share, please follow the appropriate link and do so: Are You Grateful?”, Complain Complain Complain.”

The Fortune Teller

April 24, 2008 | 6 Comments

Nowadays one seldom bump into fortune tellers or seek one out for consultation. Maybe I am out of touch with such things and the last time I met any fortune tellers were at the Central Market a couple of years ago.

I am sure many of you must have had experienced consultation with a fortune teller! I had when I was just starting out in life and was keen to know my future! Invariably one is curious about who they will become in future! Common things we want to know were wealth, health and girlfriends! Honestly none of them seem very good when I look back! Totally different from what they told me. I guess in life there is no guarantee for such things as wealth and health etc. One fortune teller said I am going to have 4 wives! Waaah! If that is the case I won’t be alive today! Either I was murdered by one of the wives or mother-in-laws or perhaps ended up in an asylum for insanity!

The best joke was King Solomon in the Bible! He had 700 wives and concubines! Compared to the Chinese Emperors thats nothing for they used to have 3000 plus! Yet King Solomon was called a wise King! I cannot see how a man with 700 mother-in-laws can be wise! The kids alone would have driven you up the Wailing Wall! Maybe thats why it was named that! hehe! I am just joking of course not.

Well I am not really talking about fortune tellers but want to share with you this e-fortune teller available online! Hey! getting high tech too in this discipline classified as soccery! Don’t believe me? why not check out Facestat and see for yourself! It was my buddy kuanhoong who introduced me to this internet fortune teller! I know you cannot resist this so go ahead and let me know how good is Facestat! You can check your friends too for FREE!

Fruits And Health

April 21, 2008 | 19 Comments

I guess for most folks, eating fruits has a direct connection with health is a well accepted fact. There are so much research been done into Food, Fruits and Vegetables that there is an explosion of information out there in the internet. However a friend sent me something rather interesting. There was an old article by David Bjerkelie, published in Time Magazine back in 2003 that connects how the shape of the fruit has a bearing on a particular organ that looks like the fruit! Take a look and see how amazing is Nature!

When you look at a sliced Carrot, don’t you think it resembles the human eye-balls? So it seems carrots are are good for your eyes or eye sight!

These Kidney Beans resembles the Kidneys! It seems that Kidney Beans help to maintain kidney functions.

A sliced Tomato showing 4 chambers and red, resembles the human heart which has 4 chambers too! Tomatoes are good for the heart.

The Walnut when cracked open, looks like the human brain! Two hemispheres, cerebrums and cerebellumns and the folds the neo-cortex. Walnuts help to produce neuron transmitters for brain function.

Celery looks like sticks and it resembles the human bone! It seems that celery contains 23% Sodium and our bones are 23% sodium! Eating Celery gives us bone mass.

Avocardos and Pears are good for the womb and cervix for females and don’t you think they look like them too?

There were many other fruits mentioned in the article but the above few proves the point and that is the shape of the fruit has a direct connection as well as health enhancement to the human body organs that resembles it! However it seems the article misses out on one particular fruit!

Yes! the glorious Banana! Going by what was mentioned I wonder what are the benefits a Banana has and whether this correlation still holds! Hemmm! What do you think? Would love to have some comments from my educated friends on this!
