Portable Gas Cooker

The Portable Gas Cooker has become a common house-hold item. They are real handy equipment to have in a home. For us, we love Steam-Boat and having a Portable Gas Cooker is an advantage plus these cookers can be very handy for picnics where we need to cook simple meals, or having a picnic on a beach, water-fall camping etc.

However, do be very careful with these gas canisters for they do explode! One can get badly burned if it exploded while in use. I have never had such an awful experience but a Japanese lady had an awful experience. She was having a meal cooking with her Gas Cooker and the canister exploded right in front of her. Below are some photos to show the severe burns she suffered. I guess her gas canister must be a faulty one but in reality how many of us do check these canisters? So please check them out before you use and look for signs of corrosion on the metal suface of these canisters.

Wrong Type of Sweetness in Life
I guess everyone enjoys the Sweetness in Life which means the sweet moments like falling in love, a hug from your children to express their love for you etc. However there is a wrong type of Sweetness in Life that we MUST avoid at all cost! I came across an article published by Diabetes Forecast and written by Tracey Neithercott which is addressing this very issue! I reproduce part of it here by way of introduction to the subject matter and you can read the full article HERE!
It's time to silence that sweet tooth, says the American Heart Association. Americans eat about 22 teaspoons of added sugar daily on average, an amount the AHA says is a health hazard. That's why the organization is recommending limits on daily sugar consumption.
In a report in the August issue of Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association, researchers for the organization say that diets high in added sugars are linked to obesity, high blood pressure and triglycerides, and cardiovascular disease. To lower those risks, the study's authors recommend limiting sugar intake based on general calorie allowances: no more than 25 grams (5 teaspoons) of added sugar a day for women and no more than 37.5 grams (9 teaspoons) for men.
To help you determine how much sugar are contained in some of our common food, tidbits, canned food, fruits etc, I have posted some photos as a quick reference guide. I suggest you personally check out the accuracy of the indicated sugar equivalent yourself.
