Helter-Skelter

Hey, remember who used the phrase 'Helter-Skelter'? It was Charles Manson, the murderer of Sharon Tate and he borrowed it from the Beatles Song! Remembered this phrase and how appropriately it described my hectic scehdule for the past couple of days! Today is Labour Day and am glad that I can take it easy. It was still a busy day since I have to do some spring cleaning. Sometimes I wonder how come when people come visiting they all come at the same time! We had to entertain them because they are our very good friends from foreign countries and moreover if we miss them now, we would not be able to see them in at least 2 years time! Anyway, busyness aside we really enjoyed their presence. Catching-up on good old days and promise to meet again soon! Tommorrow our youngest daughter Dawn will be back for a week, renewing her passport, applying for her Visa to Japan, pick-up her Credit Card and off she goes to Tokyo for 2 months! She is under MBF Scholarship! Not the MBF my fellow Malaysians know but more the "Mamak Bapak Finance" type of scholarship! What on earth is she doing in Tokyo? Well its her course requirement to do an internship with some Drama Society for two months before she head back to University to complete her final term and graduate!!!! Hurray! She is doing a Theatrical Art Form known as "Butoh"! Shocking! Well in Japanese it has a totally different meaning than what we understand in Malay here! If you want to know more, check out some videos regarding this Art Form from Youtube! We'll be praying exceptionally hard for her as well as for ourselves. We will pray for money, Tokyo is such an expensive place to live you know! The other concerns will be her total inability to understand and speak Japanese!!!! Wonder how she copes with such a challenge, learning the language and the art in 2 months! Wow! anyway its her passion and her choice so we support her decision even though it scares us! Dawn is a fiesty girl and she cannot be bullied, period! Most probably the whole of next week will be another Helter-Skelter time running around with Dawn to get all her things done. My apologies to our faithful readers/visitors for being MIA this week as well as most of next week! Will catch-up with your comments once everything is over! Cheers!

Hey, a fellow Malaysian! :-) I did not know you were Malaysian when I sent you the friendship request via Social Spark yesterday. Thank you for accepting my request.

MBF, Mak Bapak Finance .. haha, that’s the first I have heard of that! Very funny!

    Hope your wife’s doing well.

It is great to see a parent who supports their child’s unconventional choice for study and career even when you don’t fully understand it! Say Hi to Dawn for me. Didn’t get a chance to catch up with her today.
