Acts of Kindness

December 17th is Bloggers Unite Day for Acts of Kindness. Days before Christmas is known as 'The Advent' and I am sure many do notice the increase of Charitable Activities by Corporations, Churches and Non-profit Organisations which can be lumped together as "Acts of Kindness". These are wonderful deeds and it is good to remember the under-privileged and the homeless around us.
I would like to share this photo in conjunction with this Act of Kindness Day by Blogcatalog, please read the touching story that follows. Thanks! It's a tough, but heart-warming story...with a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.

This is truly the most inspirational story I’ve read. With all the negative press coming out of Iraq we SO need to hear about how our soldiers are making a positive difference in the lives of Iraqi people.

This man is saintly. Thanks for sharing this story.

    Peace,
    Lisa
